Services
I was born and raised in Baton Rouge and made the move to New Orleans for dental school after attending LSU.
I completed my post-graduate orthodontic residency here as well, during which time I met my husband, Harrison.
Marrying a New Orleans native made the decision to call New Orleans our forever home an easy one.
We live in the uptown area and now have two toddlers who take up most of our free time!
I also enjoy community involvement including Junior League of New Orleans, Audubon Institute's Zoo-to-Do, Hogs for the Cause, and St. Charles Avenue Presbyterian Church.
Emma assists our specialists with new patient exams and consultations.
She enjoys meeting all of our patients and making sure all their questions about treatment and finances are answered.
Born and raised in New Orleans, Emma is a huge fan of the Saints and LSU.
Christina has been working in the orthodontic field for 13 years.
As a clinical assistant, she is very enthusiastic with patients and quick to step up and help out members of the team when needed.
Outside the office, she enjoys being with her family and traveling the world.
Our practice also recognizes that adults and children have different needs, and require a different level of attention and care.
We will work with you to ensure that you receive the most appropriate treatments, and that your needs are met with understanding, respect, and full commitment from us.
While there is no exact age for children to begin orthodontic treatment, the American Association of Orthodontists recommends visiting the orthodontist around age seven.
Early treatment allows your orthodontist to correct and guide your child's jaw, create more space for crowded teeth, avoid the need for extractions later in life, and correct thumb sucking and minor speech problems.
Now that you have your braces, how do you take care of them?
It's important for you to know how to properly take care of your braces throughout your entire orthodontic treatment.
Don't worry; you'll be eating popcorn and snacking on potato chips again in no time!
However, before you can start enjoying some of the treats you love, you will need to take special care to avoid any foods that could damage your new appliances.
When you first get your braces, you may notice that your teeth and mouth feel a little tender or sore.
True orthodontic emergencies are very rare, but when they do occur we are available to you.
As a general rule, you should call the office when you experience severe pain or when you have a painful appliance problem that you can't take care of yourself.
We'll be able to schedule an appointment to resolve the problem.
You might be surprised to learn that you may be able to temporarily solve many problems yourself until you schedule an appointment with our office.
When working with your appliances, you need to know the names of the parts of your appliances so you are able to identify what part is broken or out of place.
