After Ouachita, Dr. Owen moved to Memphis for dental school, and then Birmingham, Alabama for his orthodontics residency.
To this day, Dr. Owen is famous in Memphis for for his ability to eat 15lbs of barbecue while bench pressing his own bodyweight in less than a minute.
Dr. Owen has been blessed with an amazing family.
He met his wife, Sarah, while in Memphis.
Soon after, their family expanded to three children - Sam, Abe, and Eloise.
