Services
The American Association of Orthodontists recommends that a child receive an initial exam around the age of seven.
At that age, children usually have a combination of permanent and baby teeth.
We can often determine by then if orthodontic treatment will be needed.
We want our patients and their parents to be completely at ease.
Knowing what to expect can relieve any apprehension regarding your child's first evaluation.
Our orthodontists wholly believe parents are children's first advocates and we are dedicated to partnering with you in personalized care.
The American Association of Orthodontists (AAO) recommends the first kid's orthodontist appointment by age 7.
While there is no exact age for children to begin orthodontic treatment, the American Association of Orthodontists recommends visiting the orthodontist around age seven.
By this age, most children have a mix of baby teeth and adult teeth, making it easier for the orthodontist to diagnose and correct tooth and jaw problems sooner and without surgery.
Please contact our practice to schedule an appointment for affordable orthodontics for kids.
Orthodontic braces aren't nearly as scary as you may think.
In fact, there are many types of braces with a variety of styles, materials, and colors, making life with braces much easier, more comfortable, and even more stylish than in the past.
Early treatment - Early treatment allows orthodontists to monitor the growth of the jaw and recommend further orthodontic treatment if it becomes necessary.
Not everybody receives early orthodontic treatment, and in some cases it may be recommended that a patient wait until they are older to receive treatment.
Orthognathic surgery, also known as corrective jaw surgery, is performed by an oral and maxillofacial surgeon and used to correct skeletal conditions of the jaw and face related to structure, growth or other orthodontic problems that cannot be easily treated with braces alone.
Open bites (space between the upper and lower teeth when the mouth is closed), protruding jaw, and receding lower jaw and chin are examples of common problems treated with jaw surgery.
The orthodontist and oral and maxillofacial surgeon work closely together to plan and coordinate all orthognathic surgery treatments.
Invisalign (your best invisible braces option) straightens teeth without wires or brackets, using a series of clear, customized, removable appliances.
It's virtually undetectable.
Invisalign went to leading orthodontists, parents, and teens themselves to custom design an Invisalign system for the dental needs of teenagers.
Each aligner has blue-to-clear color changing indicators to show how long each aligner has been worn.
You will receive six free replacement aligners in case some are lost or broken.
