To practice orthodontics, Dr. Anderson and Dr. Chandler spent 11 years in training (four years of college, four years of dental school, and three years of orthodontics residency).
The orthodontic student spends three years learning the skills needed to manage tooth movement and to guide facial development.

I had braces fifty years ago as a teenager. Over the years I have neglected my dental health and knew I needed to do something about it. Dr. Chandler was personable and explained the process. Sonja explained the financials without any pressure. And Abby was cute, kind, gentle, concerned about my every comfort. The experience was like night and day from that long time ago. If I could give any advice to a young person getting braces today. I would say don’t miss your appointments, wear your retainer just as they tell you to do, and don’t wrap your retainer in a napkin and throw it away. And wear your rubber bands. Or the next time it will be your money you spend to straighten your teeth.
