Dr. Espinoza is a native of the Bay Area, growing up in the city of San Mateo.
He attended the University of California, Berkeley where he received his bachelor's degree in molecular and cell biology - Go Bears!

He attended Howard University in Washington D.C., where he graduated Phi Beta Kappa, Summa Cum Laude, earning his Bachelors of Science in Chemistry, while serving as captain of Howard's Division 1 soccer team.
In 2008, he earned his Doctorate of Medical Dentistry at the prestigious University of Pennsylvania, School of Dental Medicine.
He continued on at the University of Pennsylvania, serving as Chief Resident during his post-doctoral Orthodontic residency and received his Orthodontic specialty certificate in 2010.
