Services
We provide leading edge orthodontic care with traditional braces, clear braces, and Invisalign.
Dr. Unae K. Han works closely with your general dentist and encourages routine dental care as well as good oral hygiene at home.
During regular check-ups with your family dentist, you may have discussed the benefits of having healthy teeth and proper jaw alignment.
Orthodontic problems include crooked and crowded teeth and misalignment of the jaw.
Complications that could arise from not seeking treatment include difficulty cleaning and maintaining crooked and crowded teeth, potentially resulting in tooth decay, gum disease, and even tooth loss; wear of tooth surfaces; inefficient chewing function; excessive stress on gum tissue and the bone that supports the teeth; chronic headaches and face or neck pain.
All orthodontists must be licensed to practice, but at this time only 1 in 3 orthodontists have continued on to become a board certified orthodontist.
The American Board of Orthodontics (ABO) certification process signifies a unique achievement-a significant step beyond the two to three years of advanced education required for a dentist to become a specialist in orthodontics.
The process requires the orthodontist to demonstrate actual accomplishments in patient care with detailed case reports on the treatment provided for a broad range of patient problems.
Dr. Unae K. Han is supported by a team of professionals who put your needs first to achieve efficient and comprehensive treatment.
Our top priority is to provide the highest quality orthodontic care in a friendly and comfortable environment.
Dr. Han's entire team believes each patient deserves personalized attention and the best orthodontic care available.
They strive to make your visits enjoyable, so you'll feel like a family member from the very first visit.
We take pride in our work and we consider it a privilege that you have placed your confidence and trust in us.
During your first visit to our office, you will meet Dr. Han and the staff.
Your medical and dental history will be reviewed and a clinical exam will be performed to determine if orthodontic treatment is needed and to assess the optimal time to initiate the treatment.
Some patients are placed on recall to allow for more dental development prior to starting their orthodontic treatment.
If the timing of the treatment is appropriate, an appointment will be scheduled for orthodontic records.
Complete diagnostic records typically include 3D digital scans of the teeth using the iTero Element intraoral scanner, photographs of the patient's face and teeth, and digital orthodontic x-rays.
Orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics is the specialty of dentistry that focuses on the alignment of the teeth and the jaws: the maxilla and mandible.
An orthodontist is a dental specialist who has received two to three years of additional training and experience.
Your orthodontist is able to straighten teeth, correct misaligned jaw structure, and improve the function of your bite and smile.
If you want to improve the look and feel of your smile, any age can be a great age to see the orthodontist.
