Dr. Stephanie Phillis and Dr. Hugh Phillis are delighted to provide individualized orthodontic care to the Chelmsford community.
To me, practicing orthodontics means being able to provide my patients with healthy, beautiful smiles they will confidently carry throughout life.
I grew up around orthodontics: my dad and sister are both orthodontists!
From being fascinated with braces and wires as a child, to appreciating the artistry and science behind orthodontics as a doctor, I have a genuine passion for improving smiles.
My passion for orthodontics is because of the role I get to play in helping provide my patients with beautiful, healthy smiles!
I am originally from Ohio and came to Nashua after completing my dental and orthodontic training at Tufts School of Dental Medicine.
My wife Mary is a native New Englander who grew up in Rhode Island, so settling here in Nashua was an easy way to stay in touch with her family.
Both of us are very active in the community, supporting the schools and the symphony.
Dr. Phillis did his dental and orthodontic training at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine and graduated summa cum laude as well as valedictorian of his dental class in 1980.

At Phillis Orthodontics, P.C., we know the orthodontic experience can be life-changing: Every day, we see our patients' self-esteem grow, as they perceive the changes in their smile.
By the time treatment is finished, each patient is filled with confidence: They have an amazing smile and can't wait to share it with the world!
An orthodontist is a dentist who has not only completed a graduate program in dentistry to receive their DDS or DMD (Doctor of Dental Surgery or Doctor of Dental Medicine), but has also gone through a competitive residency at a CODA-accredited orthodontic program for an additional 2-3 years to be trained specifically in orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics.
ABO Board Certification is a voluntary credential that represents an orthodontist's personal and public commitment to the standards of specialty practice and lifelong learning.
