Dr. John attended college at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and earned his Bachelor's degree with honors in Kinesiology.
After college he spent one year working as an orthodontic assistant and lab technician at his father's office and was also the head coach of Hinsdale Central's Junior Varsity Lacrosse Team.
He then began his dental education at the University of Illinois Chicago College of Dentistry.
While there he was involved with many organizations and spent time as a Teaching Assistant for Pre-Doctoral Orthodontics.

Damon Braces have a door attached to the bracket that opens and closes with a special instrument.
