He completed his undergraduate studies at The Ohio State University. From there he graduated at the top of his class at Columbia University in New York City. He then moved to San Francisco to finish his residency at UCSF where he is now a part time faculty member. He is proud to call the bay area his home. I can't imagine doing anything else. The American Association of Orthodontists recommends that all children have an orthodontic check-up no later than age 7. When most people think of orthodontics, they think of braces for teenagers.
But most children have a mixture of baby and adult teeth by age 7. Dr. Trinh can detect problems with jaw growth and developing adult teeth while baby teeth are still present.
Some orthodontic problems are easier and less complicated to correct when they are found earlier.

Even if you have a regular appointment scheduled, call us immediately to notify us if you need an appliance repaired.

There are very rare instances that loose brackets cause emergencies.
If the bracket is not irritating the patient or causing discomfort then it does not have to be replaced immediately.
