After graduating with the highest honors from Mount Saint Mary's College with his bachelor of science degree in chemistry, Dr. Boland was offered an academic scholarship to Northwestern University Dental School in Chicago.
During dental school, Dr. Boland was named to several high honor societies, including the Odontographic Society of Chicago and Omicron Kappa Upsilon.
Upon graduating, he was awarded a spot in the highly competitive orthodontic residency in his hometown at the University of Pittsburgh.
