Dr. Chad W. Smart graduated with honors from California Lutheran University in 1992 with a Bachelor of Science in Biology, then attended the UCLA School of Dentistry, receiving numerous academic and clinical awards.
An elected member of the Omicron Kappa Upsilon national dental honor society, Dr. Smart graduated Suma Cum Laude with a Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) degree in 1996.
Dr. Chad spent two additional years at UCLA receiving specialty training in orthodontics.
This specialty training focused heavily on craniofacial growth and development as well as all aspects of orthodontic theory and practice.

Following graduation from dental school, Dr. Armijo chose to remain in the PNW and for several years worked as a general dentist in private practice and community health.
