Combining experience with advanced education and personal care, our orthodontist and staff strive to bring you only the best orthodontic treatment options available, including clear braces, and Invisalign.
Native to North Texas, Dr. Chris Cramer worked as a mechanical engineer for Motorola before returning to school at Baylor College of Dentistry in downtown Dallas where he earned a doctor of dental surgery degree, masters of science in oral biology, and certificate in orthodontics.
He was honored to receive the prestigious Harry Sicher Research Award, one of the top two highest orthodontic research awards in all of the United States and Canada for his masters research on speeding up tooth movement.
What can you eat? Let's talk about what you shouldn't eat!
If you've been wanting to drop a few pounds, the first week wearing braces is just your chance!
For the first day or so, stick to soft foods.
Avoid tough meats, hard breads, and raw vegetables.
Before long, you'll be able to bite a cucumber again.
But you'll need to protect your orthodontic appliances when you eat for as long as you're wearing braces.
When you get your braces on, you may feel general soreness in your mouth and teeth may be tender to biting pressures for three to five days.
For most people, a beautiful smile is the most obvious benefit of orthodontics.
Before braces, you may limit your smile to 'closed-mouth' only, not showing your teeth due to embarrassment.
But when your braces come off, you'll be proud to grin big; providing you a stronger sense of self-confidence.
The stereotypes of painful orthodontics are gone.
Today, Orthodontic Treatment is quick, simple, and less painful than before.
Braces place a continuous, gentle force against your teeth in a controlled direction.
True orthodontic emergencies are very rare, but when they do occur we are available to you.
As a general rule, you should call the office when you experience severe pain or when you have a painful appliance problem that you can't take care of yourself.
We'll be able to schedule an appointment to resolve the problem.
You might be surprised to learn that you may be able to temporarily solve many problems yourself until you schedule an appointment with our office.
When working with your appliances, you need to know the names of the parts of your appliances so you are able to identify what part is broken or out of place.
I can't recommend this office enough.
From the staff, to the doctor, the location, to the physical building itself, this is the best medical office I have ever been in!
From start to finish, (scheduling an apt. to paying the bill), this office was superb.
I have lived all over the US and have sat in many dentist/orthodontist chairs and this place beats them ALL OUT! BY FAR!
I am so thankful for the people who work here and the talent, professionalism, and kindness that lives within the walls of Cramer Orthodontics!
