When choosing an orthodontist, it is important to pick someone you can trust. Not all orthodontists are board certified, in fact, it's only 1 in 3. The American Board of Orthodontics certification is a unique achievement. Both Drs. Haltom are BOARD CERTIFIED. The American Board of Orthodontics (ABO) is the only orthodontic specialty board recognized by the American Dental Association and the American Association of Orthodontists.

ABO was founded in 1929, the ABO sets the standard for the highest level of patient care. The process involves a thorough written examination (240 questions) covering all areas of information which an orthodontist should be knowledgeable. Successful completion of this "board exam" allows the orthodontist to proceed to the clinical side of the examination where they present detailed case reports from their practice/residency, demonstrating a history of excellence in patient care.

A panel of examiners will review each case which will be discussed during an oral examination where the applicant is tested on a wide variety of academic and clinical topics.
Services
Invisalign and traditional braces straighten misaligned bites to enhance the appearance of your smile and make it as easy as possible to care for your teeth.
Invisalign is a discreet, convenient alternative to metal braces.
However, patients with severe misalignment or jaw-related issues may be better suited to braces.
Braces move teeth with the force of brackets, wires, and rubber bands that are tightened periodically.
Invisalign uses removable plastic trays.
While ceramic braces blend in with the teeth to an extent, metal braces are hard to miss.
Diode lasers can be used in many procedures to reduce treatment times, improve precision, and lessen discomfort during recovery.
So what makes treatment with a diode laser such a good choice?
Diode lasers have many uses in dentistry.
Your doctor can use this device to treat everything from canker sores and gum disease to stained or discolored teeth.
Using a diode laser, your dentist can precisely target a problem area and vaporize it without affecting nearby tissue.
The heat produced by the laser during treatment simultaneously sterilizes and cauterizes the treatment area, minimizing bleeding and lowering the risk of infection.
