He earned his dental degree at the University of Mississippi and completed his orthodontic specialty training at the University of Tennessee. While attending Mississippi State University, Dr. Moffett met his wife, Leslie, and the two were married following graduation in 2011.
After relocating to Jackson, MS for dental school, Dr. Moffett met Dr. Walley (who was a faculty member at the university) and realized his passion for orthodontics.

After receiving a Master's Degree in Orthodontics, he returned to Mississippi and opened his orthodontic practice in Jackson in 1980.
