Services
At Kind Orthodontics, we treat young children, teenagers, and adults.
Different age groups often have different needs.
As Board-Certified orthodontists, we can help you identify what types of appliances and treatments are appropriate for your needs.
The American Association of Orthodontists recommends children be evaluated by an orthodontist as early as age 7.
At this age, a child's jaws are growing and the child has "mixed dentition" - meaning they have both developing adult teeth and baby teeth.

Learn more about the types of braces and orthodontic appliances we offer at Kind Orthodontics.
At Kind Orthodontics, we use Invisalign and 3M Clarity aligners.
This type of treatment uses a series of clear, removable, and comfortable plastic aligners to move your teeth instead of braces.
Drs.
Hoang and Nguyen engineer your teeth movements via a computer simulation, and the aligners are 3D-printed to carry out those movements.
You achieve your one-of-a-kind smile by wearing the aligners as directed, changing to a new aligner weekly.

We (and the American Association of Orthodontists) recommend that children be seen for an orthodontic evaluation starting at age 7.
This allows us to evaluate the jaw structures to diagnose any irregularities in the shape of the jaws, or the growth direction.
We recommend early treatment (Phase I) if the child has an underbite, deep impinging bite, large overjet, crossbite, or insufficient space for the adult teeth to erupt.
Early treatment allows us to guide growth to achieve facial symmetry, make room for adult teeth, and eliminate unhealthy habits, such as thumb sucking.

Orthognathic surgery, also known as corrective jaw surgery, corrects irregularities of the jaw bones and realigns the jaws and teeth.
Just as orthodontics straights your teeth, orthognathic surgery straightens your jaws, resulting in better alignment and function of your teeth as well as improved facial esthetics.
Moving the jaws also moves the teeth, so braces are needed in conjunction with jaw surgery to make sure the teeth fit well during and after the surgery.
We will consider orthognathic surgery in combination with orthodontic treatment for non-growing patients with large jaw discrepancies that cannot be corrected by just moving the teeth alone.
