Services
As a courtesy to you and your family dentist, we will discuss the feasibility of braces or tooth straightening without charging a fee for the initial consultation.
We also include a complimentary Panoramic X-ray.
As a rule of thumb, we like to evaluate young patients after the 6-year molars erupt and the front permanent teeth just start to appear.
This is usually between the ages of 6 and 8.
The American Association of Orthodontics recommends that all children be seen for the first time by age 7.
When you arrive at Lakewood Orthodontics, please sign into our patient check-in system with your last name.
Our friendly staff will gather any needed information and get you ready for your initial consultation.
We will take a complimentary panoramic x-ray and then Dr. Ravi Rajanna will conduct a thorough clinical orthodontic examination and explain all aspects of treatment himself.
If orthodontic treatment is indicated at this time, most patients can get started with treatment the same day.
We'll begin with a set of diagnostic records and even place your braces or order your Invisalign trays at this visit.
Our goal at Lakewood Orthodontics is to make orthodontic treatment affordable for everyone.
As a matter of convenience to patients, Dr. Rajanna also offers an automatic draft from checking accounts or credit cards.
We will review all the fees associated with treatment and the financial options available during your complimentary orthodontic consultation.
It is our goal to provide the highest quality of orthodontic treatment that is affordable to you and your family!
It's more important than ever to brush and floss regularly when you have braces so the teeth and gums stay healthy during orthodontic treatment.
All orthodontic patients should continue to see their general dentist for check up visits.
Patients who do not keep their teeth clean may require more frequent visits to the dentist for a professional cleaning.
Adults who have a history of gum disease should also see their periodontist during orthodontic treatment.
Watch the two videos below on the proper care of braces during orthodontic treatment.
The American Association of Orthodontists recommends that most children should have an orthodontic screening by age 7.
This allows Dr. Ravi Rajanna to determine if orthodontic treatment will be required and the best time for the patient to be treated.
Many of the dentists in our community have been trained to identify orthodontic problems early, and may refer you to our office earlier than age 7.
Early diagnosis and treatment can guide erupting teeth into a more favorable position, preserve space for permanent teeth, and reduce the likelihood of fracturing protruded front teeth.
