Services
Dental problems related to jaw growth get worse, not better, with time.
Because they are growing rapidly, young children benefit enormously from appliances which balance the relationship between the upper and lower jaws, and develop room for erupting permanent teeth.
This does not mean you are being treated twice it means your treatment is divided into two stages!
Two phase treatment separates the entire orthodontic treatment into two time periods, with each period being the best time to correct specific problems.
Though an orthodontist can enhance a smile at any age, there is an optimal time period to begin treatment, ensuring the greatest result with the least amount of treatment time and expense.
The American Association of Orthodontists recommends that the initial orthodontic evaluation should occur at the first sign of orthodontic problems or no later than age 7.
At this early age, orthodontic treatment may not be necessary, however, vigilant examination can anticipate the most advantageous time to begin treatment.
Braces aren't just for kids anymore.
Tooth alignment can be changed at any age if your gums and bone structure are healthy.
We offer a variety of treatments that are designed for different age groups - including adults.
A new smile can begin today.
Orthodontic treatment at later stages in life can dramatically improve your personal appearance and self-esteem.
Improving the health of your teeth and gums is equally important.
Crooked teeth and a bad bite can contribute to gum and bone loss, tooth decay, abnormal wear of the tooth enamel and surfaces, headaches, and jaw joint (TMJ/TMD) pain.
We offer SomnoDent appliances to reposition the lower jaw forward to reduce and eliminate snoring.
These appliances are custom-made for each patient, and then are gradually adjusted to bring the lower jaw forward enough to eliminate snoring.
Sleep apnea is a serious medical condition diagnosed by a sleep study.
It can lead to being chronically tired, and in severe cases, to various medical problems, including heart failure.
The SomnoDent appliance we make can be adjusted to help treat sleep apnea.
When we remove your braces, we will begin the retention phase of your treatment.
The active retention phase lasts for a minimum of 6 months, but we will continue to monitor and follow you for many years without additional cost.
Your final orthodontic result depends on your retainers, so it is important to follow through with the hard work you've put in.
The 6-month active retention phase allows for a majority of growth and settling to occur so that the teeth and jaws are as stable as possible.
However, living tissue is always subject to change from posture, habits, muscle pressure, etc.
