I have been with the practice since its inception in 2001. For many of those years, I have worked behind the scenes doing the business side of things such as bookkeeping and marketing. In May of 2014, I decided to come aboard as the Treatment Coordinator. I am one of the first to welcome you into our office as I walk you through your initial consultation with Dr. Chorak.
You can expect to be greeted warmly and made very comfortable. I earned my B.A from the University of Washington and my Master's degree in Teaching from the University of Puget Sound. I am a certified elementary teacher and have taught in schools in both Oregon and Washington. I was also the Center Director of Sylvan Learning Centers in Kentucky and in Oregon for several years.
Dr. Chorak and I have been married since 1996 and we have 2 amazing and wonderful children, Julia and Mason. We also have the world's greatest dog, Jinger. My name is Jillian! I grew up in Salt Lake City Utah, and I moved here in 2004! I have lived in Renton since then!

Most often, a bracket is cemented directly onto the tooth's surface, eliminating the need for a band.
Buccal Tube - A small metal part that is welded on the outside of a molar band.
The molar band contains slots to hold archwires, lip bumpers, headgear and other things Dr. Chorak may use to move your teeth.
Small rubber bands that are hooked between different points on the appliance to provide pressure to move the teeth.
