Services
Your dentist may have discussed with you the benefits of healthy teeth and proper jaw alignment.
Crooked and/or crowded teeth are harder to clean and maintain which can result in tooth decay, worsen gum disease and lead to tooth loss.
Misaligned teeth often wear down more quickly, make it difficult to chew, put excessive stress on your gum tissue and supporting bones, and can sometimes lead to TMJ problems.
Orthodontic treatment is an efficient and affordable way to correct current dental problems and prevent future problems.
What can you eat? Let's talk about what you shouldn't eat!
If you've been wanting to drop a few pounds, the first week wearing braces is just your chance!
For the first day or so, stick to soft foods.
Avoid tough meats, hard breads, and raw vegetables.
Before long, you'll be able to bite a cucumber again.
But you'll need to protect your orthodontic appliances when you eat for as long as you're wearing braces.
When you first get your braces on, your teeth may be tender when eating for three to five days.
In order to obtain our goal of running on schedule for you, patients are seen on an appointment basis.
Since most of our patients are of school age, it is impossible for us to see everyone after school hours.
We do take into account both work and school schedules; however, it will be necessary to schedule you during these periods, at times.
We will make every attempt to keep these appointments to a minimum.
We ask for your cooperation and understanding in this matter.
Orthodontic treatment represents a significant investment in the dental health and overall well being of a patient.
