The American Association of Orthodontists recommends that your child have an orthodontic evaluation at the age of 7. Starting at age 7, we are able to identify concerns in the development of the teeth and jaws.
Dr. DeGeorge will determine if any treatment is recommended at your initial consultation.
Early intervention, or Phase I treatment, can provide significant benefits, such as creating space for incoming permanent teeth, preventing removal of permanent teeth, correcting harmful oral habits, such as thumb-sucking, guiding jaw growth, and Improving self-esteem and confidence.
