My staff and I would like to thank you for visiting this site. If we haven't made your acquaintance yet, I hope you find these pages to be informative. To truly appreciate the services we offer, it is necessary to visit our office in person. Knowing this, I have tried to put together enough materials here to provide at least a glimpse of what we do.

If you are seeking orthodontic or periodontic care, we hope that you will stop by to see us in the near future. We look forward to meeting you. You don't need a referral to be treated at our office. If you are a current patient, we hope that these pages are helpful. The staff and I welcome feedback, so if you have any suggestions for the site, please let us know.

My practice is continually growing, and so is this website, so be sure to look for new features in the future! On a personal note, I love what I do. The privilege of being an orthodontist and periodontist allows me to provide a service that has a positive impact on many aspects of my patients' lives.
Services
We are always excited about meeting new patients during their initial visit to our office.
Your initial appointment will consist of a thorough examination and a discussion of potential treatment options.
Dr. Hsieh would like to hear about your treatment expectations at this visit.
This important visit will give us insight into your orthodontic needs.
We know your time is valuable, so to expedite treatment, we may also reserve time following the exam for diagnostic records.
The records include X-rays, photos and impressions for study models and are necessary for developing the appropriate treatment plan.
Is it required that my family dentist schedule my appointment with the orthodontist?
No, it is not.
Many of our patients are referred by their family dentist, yet many other patients take the initiative to schedule an examination themselves.
2. At what age should I schedule an appointment for an orthodontic screening?
The American Association of Orthodontists recommends an orthodontic screening at age 7. By this age, several permanent teeth in most children have erupted, allowing us to effectively evaluate your orthodontic condition.
Within five minutes after you eat.
Easy to say but sometimes hard to do?
When you're away from home, we suggest you carry a travel type of folding toothbrush with you.
First, brush back and forth across.between the wires and gums on the upper and lower to loosen the food particles.
Rinse your mouth and toothbrush.
Look in a mirror to see if you have missed any places.
Check the little half-moon spaces of teeth between the bands and gums and the space between the molar tubes and gums.
When you finish, the bands and wires should be free of all food particles and the soft white coating (called plaque).
The appearance and function of your teeth are impacted by this type of bite.
It is characterized by the upper teeth extending too far forward or the lower teeth not extending far enough forward.
The upper front teeth extend out over the lower front teeth, sometimes causing the lower front teeth to bite into the roof of the mouth.
The upper teeth sit inside the lower teeth, which may cause tooth attrition and misaligned jaw growth.
This may also affect the gum tissue.
Proper chewing is impacted by this type of bite, in which the upper and lower front teeth do not overlap.
Minor problems such as broken brackets, bent wires can occur during orthodontic treatment.
Many of these emergencies can be avoided by following the food guideline information sheet.
If an emergency does occur, you may need to contact our office.
Below are some guidelines to follow.
If part of your braces or retainer breaks, save the piece and contact the office.
Call our office as soon as possible if you break or loosen any of your appliances.
Please do not come directly to the office.
By calling us, you will allow us to create a time to see you.
